Treasurer Office

The county treasurer is the fiscal agent of the county.  The county treasurer is the official collector of all taxes and assessments levied within his or her county.  It is the duty of the county treasurer to properly record the collection of these taxes and to publish notice of the total amount of taxes collected within the county and their distribution to the various subdivisions.  The county treasurer is also a representative of the Nebraska Department of Revenue and the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles.  Treasurer duties consist of collecting sales tax and assisting county residents with motor vehicle services including driver’s licenses, titling and registration of vehicles, motorboats, and ATVs and the subsequent disbursement of these funds.

  • All Real Estate & Personal Property Taxes are due on December 31.  Statements are mailed on or about December 1.  The first half becomes delinquent and starts collecting interest at the rate of 14% APR, on May 1.  The second half becomes delinquent and starts collecting interest at the rate of 14% on September 1. 
  • Tax liens on delinquent taxes are sold on the first Monday in March.

    • 2.35% convenience fee included with credit card payments
  • Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles
  • Renew Driver’s License online
