The Deuel County Election Commissioner is responsible for election filings within the County. Certifications are due to be filed by the 1st day of January in an election year, by subdivisions holding Primary elections and August 1st for those holding only a General Election as prescribed by statute.

Currently the political parties recognized in Nebraska are Republican, Democratic, Libertarian, and Legal Marijuana NOW.
